I. - ANAKIN’S EYE / JAW. it’s mentioned that anakin received this scar from a battle with ventress during the duel in the coruscant underlevels. after ventress steals a holodisc given by one of padme’s handmaidens , anakin skywalker becomes enraged when she listens to the hologram , and proceeds to threaten his secret wife. in hot pursuit when ventress flees , anakin’s attacks become slightly erratic , possibly because of his uncontrolled rage. after missing his target , ventress mocks his attacks and lands two different slashes across anakin’s face : a vertical cut on his eye , and a slash right under his jaw. he becomes immersed within his anger and eventually snaps after ventress continues her taunting. anakin in return force - blasts her from the edge of a building and telekinetically entangles her in electric wires , torturing her momentarily.
after receiving these wounds and watching as they scarred over his flesh , anakin was constantly reminded of the failure of keeping calm during a battle. his exchange with ventress only pushed him closer to the dark side , and opened up a doorway of channeling his anger into a weapon of destruction. for this reason , it developed insecurity both with his appearance , and his capabilities. for weeks he would shy away from padme’s curious and tentative gaze , often finding himself casting his own eyes downward to avoid exposure to his scars.

1. CONFIDENTLY. anakin has often shown his arrogance. he even uses it to his advantage , as seen in his mission to infiltrate the zygerrian slavers. he CHARMS the hell out of their queen , so he definitely knows he’s attractive and powerful. it shows in his strides , he EARNED the role as a general. he’s a rather large man , towering at 6 ‘ 2 , so he takes large steps. he’s also FIT and athletic from his training , so his energy doesn’t really decrease very fast. this guy has held two people off a elevator shaft AND held himself up off of ships with his hands before so his stamina and strength is amazing. as for pace , usually he’s a fast walker. although CALM , alot of his missions tend to keep him on his feet constantly , so it shows. and , when he speaks , he makes TONS of facial expressions and hand gestures. he’s not particularly good at keeping still , especially in heated argument, as he’s seen pacing quite a few times as well.
2. anakin likes to be a LEADER. he’s naturally willing to take charge , and even when he’s ORDERED not to , he tends to speak up and even sometimes challenge the ideas of his leaders. he of course has respect for authority , but nonetheless feels like his ideas are of GREAT importance. i wouldn’t say he’s … the center of attention , however , he’s not really the type to DEMAND attention. although a bit arrogant , i feel this is not his area to BE arrogant. he believes himself to be powerful , though he knows he’s still LEARNING.
3. he’s not a fan of extravagance. his style is rather simple. on most days , it doesn’t MATTER what he wears because it’ll most likely be dirty and grimy like him anyways. however , when not wearing his jedi attire , he’d settle for a simple shirt and jeans as long as it’s comfortable. he tends to like blues , blacks , and some browns. usually he strays from tans and super PALE colors since it resembles too closely of what he wore on tattooine as a slave , but that’s really all cares for. as for possessions , he’s a COLLECTOR. this focuses most on mechanical parts , but he’s also interested in environmental things like flowers and plants. coming from a desert planet , the different sorts of scenery STILL surprises him enough for him to take something as reminder. i would like to point out that he has one of those journals with TONS of pressed leaves / flowers / plants, notes , sketches and sometimes even soil collections.
DISPOSITION AND TEMPERAMENT. 13. How do they greet the world — what is their typical attitude towards life? How does it differ in different circumstances, or towards different subjects? Why do they take these attitudes, and why do they change? How do these tend to be expressed?
ANAKIN is .. a rather positive person , i would say. he’s grown to appreciate SIMPLE things after being a slave throughout his youth. if you look back into memories show in the jedi quest books , you see his life was always about looking for ANYTHING to make his work better. picnics with the few friends he had , greeting his mother , building with any mechanical objects he could get his hands on. even when pirates ransacked his village , he STILL kept reminding himself not to let the negative feelings in , even trying to force the images of his terrified mom out of his head. as he’s gotten older , he’s only a bit more bitter , at least in terms of different subjects. but overall , he has a positive view. but of course if you bring up slavery , or particular missions ( such as the ones when they saved the torguta people , and the one where padme gets infected with illness ) these thoughts begin to invade him , pretty much force him to see the negative in life. mentioning any sort of loss would bring that out of him. it’s something he doesn’t want to accept. i think that’s what’s so IMPORTANT about the whole “ even stars die “ quote. it forces him to come face to face with that concept about the world.
HEADCANON. redeemed ! anakin verse ; anakin disguises himself as many things. whatever allows him to move around undetected , however he’s grown ATTACHED to his disguise as VARN BARDAK , a weapons and ( occasional ) spice smuggler from notorious “ smuggler’s moon “ nar shaddaa. of course , although he makes appearances to the moon , he RARELY works for the hutt clans , as their tendency to slave makes it impossible for him to even attempt such. not to mention the eyes on them from the imperials makes it difficult to keep himself hidden.
Yes, baby Anakin was sweet and generous and adorable. He was also a kid deeply aware of how he was dehumanized, and willing to use that dehumanization as a tool. Anakin tells Padme straight out that he “wouldn’t have lasted so long anyway if I wasn’t so good at building things.” You can hear the bitterness in his voice. And yet both moments before and moments after, talking to Watto, there’s not a trace of it. Not just that, but it isn’t a blank mask he presents Watto - he’s suddenly a happy kid, easily pleased by a break from his chores.
That confrontation with Sebulba? Anakin was trading on the fact that even though Sebulba didn’t like him and had the ability to harm him, Anakin was valuable property, property Sebulba didn’t want to pay for damaging. (And it’s obvious the pleasure Anakin takes in baiting him and making him angry, knowing Sebulba can’t retaliate.) He spots Qui-Gon’s lightsaber, recognizes it, and doesn’t say anything until they’re in private.
(He waits to say something until he and his mother discuss, bluntly, the horrors of the slave transmitters with the ‘outlanders’ - people who are from the republic, where slavery is illegal. People who they have indebted to them by offering food and shelter. I’m not saying Anakin and Shmi are running a con, or that Anakin’s kindness isn’t genuine. But it’s worth noting: they’ve set up a situation where people with more power than them are made inescapably aware of how bad off they are, while those people are taking advantage of their hospitality. Then Anakin brings up that Qui-Gon is a jedi - somebody bound by his job to interfere in situations like theirs.)
Anakin was the one who came up with the pod-racing plan, based on his and his mother’s knowledge of their enslaver’s vices. Anakin built a pod, hiding it from his enslaver. He knows exactly what to say to get his mother to agree. If his friends hadn’t revealed his track record, Qui-Gon and Padme wouldn’t have found out he’d never finished a race until it was too late for them to back out.
Anakin is a victim and survivor of slavery, and it shows. He manipulates people, notes and remembers useful information, and is selective in what truths he lets any given person know. Maybe this behavior wouldn’t be worth so much notice in an adult. But Anakin is nine.
DEPENDS , tbh. mostly because canon-wise , i think he’d be incredibly terrified to witness a birth he’s dreamed about going wrong. but , it’s fairly obvious he absolutely adores the mere THOUGHT of being a father. but , i would imagine him doing absolutely everything in his power to make the birth easier , simply because he couldn’t stand seeing padme in pain. possibly even going as far as using the force to heal her , guide her , etc. he’s extremely selfless in this way ———– but again , this is also due to the fact he’d be near-panic about the situation. i would have loved to see this moment. to see him holding her hand , practically exhausting himself to help her , and able to hold their children in his arms without worry. he would have made an excellent father. he’d have probably been forced to leave the order , but i don’t think it would have been a decision to affect him TOO BAD if he had his wife safe , and the ability to live on naboo with her.
HEADCANON.grey!jedi anakin has since taken up form vii ( juyo / vapaad ) and uses it more than his other specialties. this is because after renouncing his allegiance to the dark side , sidious , and darth vader’s image in general , he had still become far too consumed by the dark side to simply fight so selflessly as he did as a jedi. he’s incapable of reeling in all of his emotions to fight with precision and using this force , is able to channel them into a deadly weapon. thus resulting in an aggressive fighting style. a combination of jedi! anakin and darth vader linger , though vapaad increases his durability and connection to the force.
it’s also worth noting he doesn’t restrain himself from killing , or harming opponents to a large degree. in fact , it doesn’t much bother him at all to do this as he’s learned to once again , channel negative emotions and actions into a weapon ———- not to mention he’s completely disregarded the jedi ways of not killing. he will absolutely do so it he finds said person a threat. although he has MORALS , this is specifically in reference to dangerous individuals. he’s absolutely not going to harm someone if he has an idea of their innocence.
Send ღ for a LOVE/SEXUALITY headcanon. i highkey support anakin being demisexual as hell. because of his time with the jedi, i find it hard to believe anakin would make time to really be interested in anyone else ( besides obi-wan or padme ) specifically because he just… doesn’t have time NOR the motivation to do so. not to mention how emotional he tends to be, it fits him so well to be a demisexual — someone who only forms sexual attraction after a tight bond is formed, which is SO obviously present with both padme and obi-wan. on the topic of love, i’d definitely place it up there on his “ most important” list simply because it did happen to have a very strong drive for his decisions ( not just romantic, though, as he did a LOT of reckless things for palpatine, ahsoka, the clones and of course obi-wan ) . the council described both obi-wan and anakin as having the weakness of attachment in the first place.
Send ☂ for a FOOD headcanon. anakin’s favorite food held a memory he would remember on one of his first mission with obi-wan. when he was seven, a friend of his while a slave on tatooine invited him on a picnic, where they enjoyed meat pies and homemade turnovers. however, during their absence, a pirate named krayn raided their village and stole multiple slaves, including his friend’s mother. this was a turning point, i believe, for anakin, as it’s seen in the cave while he’s mediating ( to form his saber ) and used as one of his greatest fears. after that, he is sent on a mission where he comes into contact with said pirate. as he progresses, even the smell of a turnover brings this memory back – but he has grown attached nonetheless.
Send ✄ for a PET PEEVE headcanon. okay but… being told what to do. anakin is definitely that person who, if you tell them to do something, they are probably 1000% a little more aggravated and doesn’t want to do it, especially if he had plans to do it already. he doesn’t like having to be told to do something. unless it’s direct orders from a superior, it is most likely something that will make him purposefully not wanting to do it.
